Why we love it

As our little one grew they took a passion for reading. We wanted to encourage this letting them choose their books and creating their own little section of favourites. We wanted a bookshelf which reduced the clutter vs adding to it.

Forward-facing display means books are visible so your child can easily spot, choose, and love their favourite stories.
Intentional book rotation. Designed to hold a curated selection rather than an overwhelming collection, making book rotation simple and engaging.
Three fabric baskets at the bottom let kids easily take their toys to their play space and pack them up when done.

Bookshelf materials

Made from sustainably sourced radiata pine timber.
Timber products will naturally have variation from our photos. This is due to the timber itself, screen settings, photo settings.

Care

Pine timber is softer by nature, meaning there is less chance of splintering. It does mean it is easier to mark.
The timber is coated in a light lacquer (tested to Australian safety standards) which helps keep a consistent colour in the timber and avoids the timber yellowing.
Regularly wipe dust away using a soft cloth.
For deeper cleans use water or a very mild cleaning agent which is suitable for painted surfaces.

Shipping and pre-orders

If the product is listed in stock, it means it will be processed within 2 business days. We then will work with an appropriate courier to get your item to you. If listed for pre-order, the provided month is an estimate of dispatch. There can be times where there are delays, which are out of our control and we will keep you updated if these occur.

Please note couriers will leave the parcel at your door where safe to do so. They will not normally go up stairs or enter your property. Larger items may also come on a pallet.

The three removable canvas baskets are tailored perfectly for little hands to grab. They allow your child to carry a select group of toys straight to their play mat and pack them all away when they are done. It creates a seamless routine that makes tidying up feel like a natural part of play, helping to restore a sense of calm to your room. Writing that down was the easy part... we are still working on it happening with our toddler.

How many books can it hold?

We intentionally designed this shelf for forward-facing visibility and book rotation rather than bulk storage. Displaying a smaller, curated selection of favourites keeps children from feeling overwhelmed, helps them choose what they actually want to read, and cuts down on the number of books you have to pick up off the floor at the end of the day.

What are the baskets made of, and can they be cleaned?

The three removable baskets are made from a durable, lightweight canvas designed to withstand daily play and feature sturdy handles for little hands. They can be easily spot-cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent for any inevitable marks.

Is the finish non-toxic?

All the finishes we use have been tested to the Australian standards with the knowledge and assumption children will be around the products.

Does it come assembled?

The bookshelf arrives flat-packed with easy-to-follow instructions and all the hardware you need for assembly.
